Photography Workshop News

I’m getting ready add a new Photography Workshop to my schedule for 2009! I can’t go into too much detail as paperwork and contracts are involved; but I am 3/4 way there! It’s going to happen- and I’m excited!

This is going to be really cool as it will be hands on and plenty of shooting opportunities-but different than any other workshop I’ve been able to do before! There will be  some lecture time at a great venue as well, but the emphesis will be on shooting! Of course, there will only be so many spots available- but you will  hear about it all first here!!!
I’ll be sure and post ALL THE DETAILS as soon as they are ready for release- Get ready for a unique opportunity……

Secrets….who doesn’t have a few, right?
well, I’ve got one to give you- we’ll keep it between just us, right?…..

One of my favorite daily posts I check is this: APHLOG
This blog/site is unique to me in that it congregates multiple posts from other sites and blogs into one easy to look at page. There is a TON of stuff to learn by clicking on the links shown- but there is something more valuable than all the other portals to other posts. If you scroll thru till you almost get to the bottom you’ll find my “secret inspiration” of the day- there is where APHLOG really gets me to come back daily- sometimes more than once! There is a conglomeration of photos gleaned from popular views on Flickr that is ever changing. Each time you refresh, there’s something new- maybe one photo or two change each time you “refresh” the page.
I have found inspiration from everyday people ( not just photographers- but people who love photography)  here that I might not ever have heard of nor seen before; but who’s ideas and commentary ( Oh yes! You MUST read the commentary to really experience some of the photos the way they are meant to be…) are fresh AND refreshing!
There are photos from people all over the world and in many languages as well- The cool part is after you click on one of the many photos to choose from, it takes you to that persons flickr site and you feel like you get a chance to know them, or at least learn something about them.
This is the “personal connection” that you don’t get just by seeing a photo by itself.

Jamestown

A little side trip from Williamsburg- Historical Jamestown. 
It’s still a little hard to wrap my head around, but this 1st  settlement is really the place where our country began.

The doctor is….In

Back in town. And I have some photos coming from the trip to post- but cameras aren’t even unpacked yet! Busy day indeed!

The doctor is….out

I’m going to the Virginia Tidewater area to shoot at a B&B, and also take in some scenery while I’m there. I’ll be out of the office for a few days and back in early next week.( hopefully with some photos that will make you wish you were there…)

FYI: I’m pretty sure there will be no iceburgs in the bay…..
