The man on the right is david F.- He’s retiring tat the end of this month and moving down south. He’s  been my mentor and friend for Many Many years. I would not have been where I am today without his encouragement or his support and I will miss him greatly!

david and his photographic counterpart  Steve S. saw something in my work ( and me) years ago and gave me the opportunity to become a photographer- I owe them both ( and others ) a great deal…

The image we are holding was my present to him- A digital painting I created from photographs he and I took together in Huntingtion of the Keith Albee theater. This has a special significance in the fact we had a ball shooting in the city and it’s a great memory for us both- and the fact that he took his wife on dates to catch a show there while they were dating.

David- I’m sure we’ll visit as we can- For touching my career and life with your special gift of compassion and direction- Thank you!

Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk-2009-UPDATED

Last years Worldwide Photowalk Group

Today’s it’s official, as we announce the date for Scott Kelby’s 2nd Annual Worldwide PhotoWalk™ to celebrate the upcoming release of “The Digital Photography Book, Volume 3,” and you’re invited to be a part of this global, social photography event.

I’ll be leading a group of 50 photographers around the City of Charleston as part of this worldwide event. Last year we actually had MORE than 50 show up- and that’s kinda cool too! ( But only the first 50 that sign up are eligible for prizes)

When: Saturday, July 18, 2009
Where: Charleston WV – and I’m working out a couple of details as toi where we meet- this will be on my Official “City page” here.
How long does it last: Two hours, from start to finish.

Joe McNally interview
