New Bern, North Carolina

Birthplace of Pepsi and also the 2nd oldest town in North Carolina.

This marina is located on the Trent River where the Trent and Neuse Rivers combine to flow off to Pamlico sound and the Atlantic Ocean……Just 40 miles more and I could’ve been at the beach! ARRRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

But I was there to attend a wedding; not vacation…….I Will go back someday!
Absolutely the nicest people there…………..

Back on the road…..

Gonna be on the road for a few more days starting this evening! Gotta shoot in Cass for The Nature Conservancy on Friday-so I’ll be away til next week- I’ll try to post some more cool photos from the trip!

Spooky huh? Light was fading fast and this is at the edge of an overlook with a path going down to the river below….

I’m sure there aren’t any wolves or vampires  about…but why take the chance, right?

Loved the texture of the trees as soon as I saw them- and how moody an atmosphere it was..

Planning and the weather delays

Well, I checked the weather map for the next Ten days- Rain coming in after today til at least next Tuesday- This past weekend ( Have to take care of the personal stuff  SOMETIME…. * Smile* ) would’ve been the perfect time for an outdoor shoot at a facility I’ve been planning  for a while ( sensitive info- can’t disclose location til after the fact. Sorry) That puts me at least Three weeks behind my personal schedule for this project. I have a total of Four for the same area.
Whoever thought that “outdoor photography” didn’t need as much scheduling as a portrait sesion does……needs to take a look at what goes into some of MY work….*smile*

Oh well…………We all need the rain sometimes….And when time decides it’s right; the photography is gonna be AWSOME!!!!
